Valerie

Saw her by the playground
Caught up by her smile
Valerie was the name
A heart made of gold
Jealous was Amin
For a stranger he perceived
But my keys he gladly took
Despite playing hard to get.
It was pleasing to listen
For her voice was soothing
And even if she’d kept on talking
I'd have gladly stayed all night long smiling.
Here I am, standing on my balcony
Staring at her window
Hoping she'd come out once more,
Just to catch her smile again.
