The Winter I Longed For
Nicholas Ilechie / / 1 min read

Autumn went by as though it never was,
With the yellowish leaves withering off the trees.
The cold began with little despair.
Alas, the long-awaited winter is finally here.
Mountains covered in snow
And folks in cozy jackets.
Yet the sweet smell of Christmas,
Seems to be missing
Could Santa be lost?
Or frozen in the snow?
Petrified am I
In the winter I once longed for…
