Guard Your Heart

“Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life”
A proverb that should never depart from our minds.
We, humans, are sometimes too complacent about the way we go through life. — we treat life as a joke, with contempt, and despise its very essence.
We give little regard for the things we listen to, watch, read, discuss and joke with.
Yet we are a product of them all.
You find a person who is utterly broke or poor, rather than focus and set out all attention and desires to quality materials that will aid his ambition for financial success, he/she rather wants to play around with time-wasting activities and things that his other fellow poor masses do.
And then we complain, nag, and keep wishing to be rich --- that's stupidity defined.
And even when you try to talk to these folks, they'll tell you ' I've heard ' or claim to know what they are doing, yet, in the end, all you see is a 'Fool' who knows nothing.
Similarly, you find a person who desires to have a great relationship or perhaps get married, yet, consumes unhealthy social media content and articles about divorce and failed marriages, then tags along with silly jokes, and social media proverbs: “all girls are whore”, “men are scams”, “love does not exist”, “people can't be trusted”... and so on, y’all know the rest...
And even when you say; But, I don't take them seriously. Yet, when you see these things, you still laugh and say; oh, it's just a joke... That becomes very stupid of you because that joke being funny to you will reminisce in your mind, till it becomes a reality in your life.
You ought to despise it and shun it the very minute you see it -- the only way to prevent it from getting in is to speak against it.
Cause when you don't and allow those thoughts to grow, it utmost becomes a reality.
Don't get me wrong, just because you shun them doesn't mean you should deny them, become blind to reality, and live in a dream world.
Of course, some men are evil and likewise, some women are demons, we have both male and female prostitutes, it's not a gender-based thing nor is it peculiar only to girls.
The fact that society paints prostitution largely as ladies makes no sense, cause it's a transaction and as such, never one-sided but a two-way deal. On one side, you have a person paying for a service, and on the other side, you have a person receiving a service.
So when a man pays a prostitute for sex he too becomes a prostitute...
Because he is paying for a service being 'sex', and she on the other hand is delivering and simultaneously receiving the service being “sex”, both parties are bonded by the desired service...
She pays for the service with her body and he pays with his body and also his money, trade by barter and at the end, everyone is happy, likewise, does it happen with a lady, ladies pay for sex too and receives the service in a reverse manner...
But somehow society makes us think that only the girl is a whore, and makes the man feels more special or in the absolution of the act, whereas, the girl is painted as evil and belittled.
That's a deviated discussion anyways.
In like manner, women say men are scams, yet when you check, the very same women or ladies who utter such words are the products of it.
These same ladies are deceitful, selfish, and utterly self-centered, they only think about themselves and what they stand to benefit in a relationship, not what they have to give in, and when a man outsmarts them in their cunny way they get upset and angry, not because they are innocent of the act, or because they valued the relationship genuinely, but because they had been outplayed in their games.
When we look around, all we find is, good and evil is a thing that affects all of humanity, regardless of gender. So, when one becomes mindfully biased, focusing his/her mind solely on the negative cases, therefore, makes no sense.
Rather, we should accept reality for what it is, but not dwell so much on the negatives or positives and let them define our path.
The law of attraction works in a funny way;
When we dwell on the negatives, it becomes our reality, and even when good things come our way, we destroy them due to our negative personality and our mind protecting its status quo.
On the other hand, when we dwell on the positives, it becomes our reality, but if not careful, could blind us to the truth, that even when something utterly destructive comes our way, we are blinded to harbor it, at the detriment of our own destruction.
We must learn to apply wisdom (if you don't have it ask for it) to all we do especially, with our thoughts and dealings with life.
See things for what they are
Be in control of your life
Learn to accept things quickly, and give a time limit to everything that needs fixing.
If it's not in line with your life path, but it's important to you, then try to change it positively by being a positive person but ensure to set a time limit.
If you can't change it within the stipulated time, then accept it and move on.
If it's something you can harbor that won't alter your nature or destroy you, then make a compromise but even with a compromise safeguard your values and morals.
See reality as a guide but build the path you wish to take.
If you want to get rich follow the path of wealth.
If you want to be a Christian, learn, and follow the path of Christ.
If you want to live a normal life, follow the carnal ways of men.
If you want to have a good relationship and marriage, adhere to what makes a marriage work and how to be a good partner.
Do you want to have failed relationships? Keep spreading, discussing, and joking about senseless and unhealthy relationship conversations, posts, articles, clips, and comedy.
If you want to be wise, follow the wise.
Love being a fool? deny your ignorance and folly it's wisdom.
If you want to be a playboy or a runs girl or slay queen then stick to it.
The problem only comes when we desire to mix, there's really no gray, as gray only leads to unhappiness and confusion.
You cant be a playboy yet desire to fall in love or have a healthy relationship, your life would be in utter chaos, you can't be a prostitute, and while in it desiring a happy marriage, lol 😂 you deny the very essence of yourself and your soul will forsake you lol.
You can't be a Christian or live life by the Christian doctrines yet keep doing what the unbelievers do, lol 😆, your life will be miserable, chaotic and a living hell.
You have to choose a path and stick to that path.
In all, the majority of whatever you consume becomes your reality.
"A wise man once said as a kid we look like our parents but as we grow older we look like our decisions."
Anonymous
And that's true, cause as kids we are ignorant of the world and only abide by what our parents tell us. We always try to please them.
But as we grow older, we can choose to either continue to be a child or take life into our hands and make better decisions.
As a child you are under your parent may know what's good for you as they desire to protect you but as you grow older your parents really can't protect or help you much anymore because they truly don't know you anymore, they only see you as the kid they held in their hands, they have no idea when you lost your virginity, they don't know what you are reading, watching or doing anymore.
As a kid they knew all that, they knew what cartoons you watch, your best friends, what time you get back from school, and all you do to a great extent they knew and for that reason, they could protect you as you submitted to their will but as you grow older all of those changed so why do you think they can truly know the best for you?
In most cases, the best they can is to advise you based on their own life experience, but dear friend generations have changed and you may find yourself and your father or mother in a parallel space of life, and their advice, though it may appear good may only lead you astray, it's not their fault but yours who chose to remain a child even at old age.---Except you're lucky enough to have a truly Wise Father/Mother but reality tells us not many of us are.
Guard your heart and never treat life with contempt.
A man may sometimes have multiple chances to correct his errors, multiple chances to restart his business, and lots of possessions to mitigate his wants but there's only one life, you cant correct it after death and some silly mistakes could make your life so miserable that would make you beg for death yet not see it, for even death too, must be earned.
